Our Foundations and line history
Reno (CH Tropaco Rocket's Red Glare, ROM) was a top producing Ridgeback who lived to the ripe old age of 15 years. Although Reno was never specialed, he became a favorite stud dog for several breeders both in California and throughout the United States. He was known for his wonderful temperament as well as his ability to produce exceptional puppies with a very high percentage of great ridges. One son was in the top 10 and a multiple group winner. Reno is currently the sire of 19 conformation champions.
Though he's recently crossed Rainbow Bridge, Reno was collected and is available for stud service via frozen semen to approved bitches. For more information, click here to jump to our "Stud Service" page.
Shumba
(DC Kimani's High Profile SC CGC FCH ROM) had a wonderful career both as a
conformation "Special," finishing among the Top Five Ridgebacks in the United
States for 2001, and as a die-hard lure coursing dog. In nearly 30 years
involvment in purebred dogs, we've never seen a better moving dog. Shumba
has produced multiple dual champions, demonstrating that you can have it all.
Most importantly, everyone that has ever met Shumba has been impressed by his
rock-solid temperament. Adults, children, other dogs . . . he takes them
all in stride. Shumba is now 13-1/2 years old and still going strong. He
divides his time between running our five acres with our young gun Enzo,
counting the minutes to his next meal and napping.
