PROSPECTIVE OWNER QUESTIONNAIRE

As you might guess, we're very particular about the homes we place our Ridgebacks in.  There are a number of reasons for that, most importantly, the welfare of the dog.  Moreover, our owners become part of our family for years to come (for example, we have third generation owners).  We ask that any prospective owner of an HPK-Tropaco Ridgeback fit our criteria for a solid "forever" home.  We look at the overall picture in deciding whether the potential home is a "fit" with our concept of dog ownership.  To assist us in that conversation, we've prepared a form below that has the most common questions we ask of potential owners.

If you're interested in an HPK-Tropaco Ridgeback, please take a moment and respond to the questions below as accurately and completely as you can.  We also use the response to give us a chronology of potential owners for purposes of "picking order" for upcoming litters.  If you have any questions of us, you can send them via the Feedback page (link at left).

Here at HPK-Tropaco, we do not feed kibble of any kind! Instead, we feed our dogs "real food," that is, a diet that most closely matches the diet that dogs have eaten since their existence began. Generally called the "Raw" diet, it consists of raw chicken including the bone, fish, beef, vegetables and other items. Our experience in the past decade with this diet has been excellent, with healthier coats, less disease, better muscle tone and fewer digestive issues. You can learn more about the Raw Diet, its advantages to you and your dogs, and even why some vets may disapprove of the diet, by clicking here .

Would you consider feeding such a diet? Yes No
